The cafe was decorated with walls coloured wine red with such exquisiteness that it always attracted youngsters yearning for the ambience to which they can bring their lovers or acquaintances. The airs seeemed to be filled by the blended aroma of coffee and chocolate which tempted people to stay there for a long time than they intended to. Two rows of square tables accompannied by two chairs for each, hued with a perfect blend of black and red  followed the counter. The songs of PinkFloyd  in a seemingly audible volume played in the backdrop. None of this seemed to entertain Rex as the anxiety brewing in his mind never came to a naught. He hasn't felt like this for a very long time, as h

Rockstar - Just a Time pass flick.

Forget promises.                                                                     Rock Star the film directed by Imtiaz Ali, is a big disappointment if you expected the film to be  a promising one of Imtiaz. The film is just  a romantic melodrama of two unlikely persons, posing to be a biographical insight into the life of a Rock Star. In the first scenes  of the film , the protagonist is seen looking at Jim Morrison's Poster which is his idol, in his room which gives us a little hope that this film may do justice to it's title. But what we get to watch is less of a legend like Jim Morrison and more of a grief stricken and heart broken lover. What happens after throughout the film can be tucked into  the song "Emotional attyachar" in the background. The director has used the most out of the cinematographer to induce the ravishing romantic touch to the film like the one which exclusively comes from Korean films. What lifts the film from the ditches in the path i

Wishlist of an Idiot

I wish if.......   there were no religion in the world.   Smoking was a  healthy habit .   getting drunk healed us.   hypocrites were ruled out from the whole world.   perversion had constraints.   women never liked to be a captive.             society was more adaptive.   chauvinism was a crime.    education was more experimental.    misogynists were incarcerated.     rules were no longer made to be tempered to convenience.    money was never a parameter of intellect and respect.    people never judged anyone by appearance.    flattery was never considered affable.     people were never prejudiced on anything.               This damn place would not have been a                                                                  PLANET IDIOT

Lonely Ride

Waiting for the train finally, void tickets for the ride, you'll never know if you'll be making the ride or not What you know is  inexplicable but a total reality if bought everything for the ride  you'll be occupied by it, while an empty cage thrive to  be full before it's vanquished Some long to bunk the ride and last for being taken to heart  A few won't balk to leave  a trail of his own the Lonely ride always leaves the one watching to behold and torment the incinerated thoughts ride with you helpless of telling those left behind that the ride is  one  takes it all at the end for it comes to a naught.

Wolf in the Plastic Clad

Exhilarated in the joint play despised the warning signs never saw the shrewd eyes planning of a mockery. Deceived by the plastic clad compassion surrendered to the derisive Taken apart by sympathy never cared for the sole opulence . but the vicious always does the awful the oblivious folk never believed and only saw the glossy clad estranged from the herd with the new exotica Frail legs walked alone locked to a  path of it's own gained vigor in the lonely path only to have an innate conscience the callous pal had croaked by soul when he reckoned the deceit. tired of the fake clan the lamb heads straight unattached to a life of an eternal self.

At the Funeral

In the dark hazes of sorrow, surrounds me some faces so somber still can't get  to the gospel fumes of pleasure taught me ignited by the temptation when airs of tension filled in  me prompted by anxiety in a prolonged waiting to vent the anger  in a cauldron puffed the crazy vapors the white soldiers of death  now laid me deep numb and silent six feet under.

Co-existence or Parasitism ?

Image
Sometimes Parasitism breeds from  coexistence which grows malignant over time. Analogous is the situation when it comes to the case of movie and music. When films were born, it was mute. Slowly like a child learning from his faltering steps it gradually learnt speaking and gained the  ingredients to add to it's growth. But silently music seeped through to become the blood of a film. An able back ground score sticks the viewer to the story line and keeps him intrigued throughout the film. But if it does not do justice to what it should enrich then it spoils the whole essence of the film. In our country, music thrives on film industry. It has almost become more of a success code that films can do good only if it has got a set of  nice songs. But unlike the contemporaries some are breaking out of the code. Some films are done with good songs but is sickened by a bland story line and ridiculous direction.. What good does the  music do to

A Saga of Irony

Image
Irony is always the part & parcel of a career in any industry, specifically the film industry. Here one may be thrashed to drain or  may be flashed to  the spotlight. When it comes to the case of a new comer, his Godmother is CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). To reach the CBFC, one has to run over many hurdles. Finally  his fate is judged by the board which is accumulated with stereotypes who has no idea about new age cinema. Movies are in fact a medium to convey an idea or a theme . Or on the other side  like slapstick comedy films. Indian film industry is degrading to meager concepts because most of the films released today lie in a rift between the two mentioned above. Experimental films occurs only in a while and that too is only  by a handful of  passionate people who want to make their own space in industry. This is due to the biased decision making of CBFC. The recently released film "DELH

Fait Accompli

Image
"Fait Accompli" means the thing  that has been done or decided leaving those affected with no option but to accept it. This is synonymous with the prevalent code of our society. Some things has been ciphered to as mandatory for earning goodwill in the society. Who put up the rules for living?  It's none other than we people .But neither the rules are followed properly nor are they broken fully. Everything is a matter of convenience. We always see people blathering about the sacredness of our culture, questioning about the  roots of tradition remnant in you. If the tradition or a culture had never evolved then we would have lived now in a way that dates back to centuries. Everything has to be a part of evolution. If we are so stringently following our tradition, then why are we even using modern living, why are we  using electricity, modern sophisticated equipments or even metal utensils instead of living in the pristine conditions of human life. Life has changed, and so

The Tree of Life - Impressive, yet profound

Image
The Tree of life by Terrence Malick is a visual treat, a meditation, the pursuit of a life from it's birth in a middle class family in Texas to  the moribund urban life. The protagonist is Jack(younger version of Sean Penn) the eldest son of O'Brien (Brad Pitt). While the story revolves around the Texas family .The plot roots from the visuals that briefly explains the evolution of life. How life evolved from specks and dots .How it rose with time and tried to invade and  predate the other. While the film opens with the scene in which the family receives a bad news as the mother loses her son.The family tries hard to cope with the ill fate it has now got with. The scenes with the evolution of life also tells us every body has his/her box of life in a large space of human existence. The young couple (Brad Pitt & Jessica) is shown in the scene following the evolution visuals .They gradually make up  a family of their own in the gr
