In Ant Colony

Image
Do I sound a bit strange when I say I belong to ant colony. I might intrigue you as well. Look around ! you had been living in it.  Neither do I feel ashamed to be a part of it, nor do I have any regrets. I wake up to its realities everyday. The mornings in and out of this colony do haunt me like hell but I line up with other members to an awfully grey life and the nights tempts me to spit out the anguish that squanders my ego to pieces. I breathe diplomacy ! It's queer, but here in ant colony diplomacy is air ! I can see you scoffing at me, but it's the truth dear fellows ! Your mocking smile!  I have seen it in other faces too. I have seen them appeasing themselves with their mocking grin. I am myself being a talker and not a doer, you might be feeling that by now. What can I do ?  What is this all about ? is all I can hear. I could hear shrills out of pain from somewhere when I was walking in line with other ants. I wonder if

Ey ! Bear the brunt, It's celestial !

A bunch of planets up there in the space, asteroids, comets or whatever, can wipe out our planet by collision.  But these planets can choose you individually and sue you to hell. While comets and asteroids stay out of this, planets can do something serious. How? There's an easy way and that's astrology. Astrology as we know is a pseudo science. A pseudo science is something like a set of beliefs mistakenly regarded as being based  on  scientific methods. Believing in astrology is helpful to people at times because you can frame  immaculate excuses of escapism with it. You can sit back and blame the planets for your deeds. Yeah that's some kind of relief for us.  Isn't it ?  Am I being a blasphemer? No. Astrology is only based on predictions and is not consistent in keeping the promises it gives. Astrology being a science should have the following qualities. It should be consistent, testable and falsifiable and  it should be affirmative to all the previous theo

Sneha Khanwalkar, The Nomadic Musician

Image
We live in  an era where our musicians are finding it hard to evolve and bring up some thing appreciable. Instead some of them bring a blend of contemporary western style into their music while some others become a copy cat concealing the theft by being in a denial mode. But unlike them, Sneha Khanwalkar belongs to an entirely different breed. While many spent nearly days toiling in their studios to crop up a music of their own, Sneha roams through out India in quest of authenticity she expects in her every tune. She finds it very intriguing to travel to distant parts in India and abroad to extract talent and music out from places we never expect it to be found. She believes that each place has got its own music and it is that particular flamboyance she likes the most. In her recent work i.e Gangs of Wasseypur, the sap of her music is as raw as Anurag's films. She had given almost two creative years of her life to this film. The song "chi cha" in this film is sung by

The Dark Knight Rises - Apt conclusion but lacks

Image
The Finale of the Dark Knight trilogy of Christopher Nolan is an awesome conclusion with nerve chilling action scenes and performances but it's not compelling and lacks a certain charisma its prequel had. The film stretches a bit in the first half but it gives a sensational toast for the viewer in the second half. The plot begins where the previous episode left off but after 8 years in the time scale. The caped crusader rises to the demand from seclusion and find himself being dragged behind with the agility he had in the past turning blunt but is faced by a villain with a mysterious and strange agenda for whom Batman means no harm at all. The action scenes of the film looks original that you sit watching it spell bound. Nolan has achieved this quality without the help of 3D which deserves a great round of applause. The agenda of Bane is replete with brainy aspects of urban terrorism and social anarchy, But referring to words of Joker enacted by Heath ledger in the Dark Knight

Gangs of Wasseypur, Gritty and intense

Image
Anurag Kashyap had been in this industry for about a decade and half from now. He has made so many brilliant films for our industry but was faced with herculean hurdles  from both the critics and the censor board. Standing very strong in all those downturns, he always kept his words true, more than money it had always been intelligent cinema, he wished to make.  Gangs of Wasseypur is one gritty film that even kept some of the critics tongue-tied  who incessantly kept despising his style of film making for all these years. Gangs of Wasseypur is truly an epic from the ace director. Pioneered by the versatile Manoj Bajpai, the film is composed of top niche performances by able actors. Even the performance of the kids in the films are so genuine. A 2.5 hour journey through Wasseypur and  Dhanbad leaves you no time to be distracted from the film. The story travels through a long time-line so smoothly that you seamlessly travel watching the film.  Despite of having a challenging scri

From doldrums to life, still it's you....

By Arvind B Nair I can't tell you why shadow is coz of sun, I can't tell you why rivers are coz of water, I can't tell you why I love you, I can't tell you why hatred is coz of misunderstanding, But shadows are horrifying.... It makes me lonesome.. My music can save me... no what I feel Things I loved... things i hate about you It's all gone... gone with the wind I'm just loving the breeze But still they are sacred, things are playing in the sand things are feeling all the pain abd getting  through the shit not running awayYou were an angel A wicked of the kind A saviour who believed I could But now all that is gone Now i can tell you why people call you staring at the loss Now I can tell why you can do the same Chase all your dreams and i'll be there in all culverts Try flying without the wings and I can tell you how I am still the same can you see shadow is coz of sun Things are like things that you l

Ee Adutha Kaalathu, is a new flick from the director Arun Kumar who debuted with Cocktail. Scripted by Murali Gopi, son of the veteran actor Bharat Gopi, the film displays several terrific moments enacted by all the actors in the film so wonderfully. The film begins with the description of a Rubix cube so is the film structured like one. Crafted with witty dialogues and humorous occasions, the film keeps you tuned with the nuances through out its life. The film takes you through many interesting detours confusing the viewer which makes the story highly unpredictable. All the characters are properly furnished and exudes a brilliant performance of which Indrajith deserves the spotlight. With dialogues spoken in proper Trivandrum dialect by almost every character is a treat to watch because they have kept full dedication in keeping it real than exaggerating the language so vulgarly. The film touches reality so close that the situations and
